Ball of Confusion

I don't know what to do.
What do you do when you like a guy,
But everyone you know says don't trust him?
Do you give him the benefit of the doubt?
Do you wait to see
If maybe he's not really the guy they all say he is?
Do you play his game to a point,
And then let him know that you don't agree
With some of the things he does?
Do you turn and walk away
Not looking back to see if he follows?
Do you try and change him?
Or do you simply put up with what he's got
And let the rest slide?
What are the opinions of others?
Do you trust them
Over him?
I don't know.
I don't know what to do.
